The Spirit of Sufficiency

Professor Yak or Ajarn Yak, commonly known among the general public.

Professor Yak serves as the President of the World Soil Association and the Agri-Nature Foundation. He adopted the principles of New Theory Agriculture and the Sufficiency Economy according to the royal initiatives, to serve as an example and inspire farmers by demonstrating that Agri-Nature can truly lead to a prosperous life based on sufficiency.

The core principle of Agri-Nature is "Feed the soil and let the soil feed the plants." This involves allowing microorganisms and living organisms to thrive without the use of chemicals or pesticides, ensuring the soil remains "living soils."

Professor Yak has brought the principles of "The King's Philosophy" to teach and train the general public through courses on Agri-Nature towards a sufficiency economy system at the Mab Ueang Agri-Nature Learning Center. This center aims to be a hub for learning the King's Philiosophy and a source of wisdom and knowledge, with many batches of students who have demonstrated tangible success.

This approach requires both virtue and knowledge, aligning with the King's work principle that "Our Loss is Our Gain", which emphasizes achieving "worthwhile" outcomes over merely "profitable" ones. This perspective values the well-being of the population, an outcome that cannot be quantified in monetary terms. As the saying goes, "Money is an illusion, but rice and fish are real."
